Who we are
JGM Innovation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that originated in the heart of St. John’s University. We are proud to be a part of a journey that began over a decade ago when our founder, Waldo Guevara, a member of the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., initiated support for the Jorge Guevara Mellado School in Santa Eulalia, Peru.​

Our initiatives
JGM Competitions is a thrilling competition where students showcase their talents and skills. The winners will be treated to an exciting field trip to Lima, where they will visit museums, amusement parks, and enjoy dining at some of the best restaurants. This experience will not only be fun but also educational, broadening their horizons and creating lasting memories.
This initiative focuses on providing valuable internship opportunities for students. These internships are designed to give students hands-on experience in various fields including Artificial Intelligence, helping them develop essential skills and gain practical knowledge. We aim to create pathways for students to explore their interests and build a foundation for their careers.
JGM Impacts and projects
The Team Effort Scholarship is designed to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance. The recipients of this scholarship will enjoy a day at a prestigious country club with their families, with all expenses paid. This day of relaxation and celebration will be a well-deserved reward for their hard work and dedication.
We organize donation drives that directly support children and families in both Peru and the United States. These efforts help provide essential items such as school supplies, clothing, hygiene products, and other resources that improve children’s daily lives. Through community support and partnerships, we’re able to extend our impact and uplift more families in need.
