Perú has been hard hit by the coronavirus. Currently it is the fifth country with the highest number of Covid-19 cases. The government has already announced all schools will be working remotely until the end of the year. Peru imposed one of the earliest and strictest lockdowns in Latin America to stop the spread of coronavirus - but has still seen cases rise rapidly. In response to this situation the JGM Project would like to launch our new initiative to fundraise for food baskets that would support the families of JGM students.
In June 2020 the Guevara family donated food baskets to 50 families of the school. This was right when the country was in lock down due to the Coronavirus. We are going to do the same and help many families.
