About the Hackathon
Talent is everywhere. The chance to prove it under pressure is not.
The JGM AI Hackathon brings university students in Lima into a room for a single timed build. No topic in advance, no outside help, no second attempt. Competitors receive their requirements when the clock starts, ship a working application using AI tools, and then stand in front of judges to explain and defend every decision they made.
It is the same standard the global tech sector runs on: work fast, ship something real, and answer for it. Most students never get to find out they can do that. This is where they find out.
How it works
THE DROP
Requirements stay sealed until the clock starts. Nobody prepares for a brief they have never seen, which means memorized answers count for nothing and thinking on your feet counts for everything.
​The Defense
​Each competitor presents what they built and defends it to a panel of judges. Expect blunt questions about the choices they made and whether the thing actually works.
The Build
Competitors build a working application using AI inside a fixed window. Screens are recorded for the full session, so the work is verifiably their own. No outside help, no second attempt
The Verdict
​Judges score against four published criteria, so every result can be explained. Winners take a share of the 1,500-sol prize pool, and every competitor leaves with a finished project they can show.
